Perfumes for women

Most women love perfume. They may not wear it every day, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t like to. Unfortunately, most of the really fantastic numbers out there cost a good bit of money. Which is why you’ll be an instant charmer if you make her a gift of her favorite scent.

The first thing you need to do is figure out if she’s slave to anything in particular. And she might be – I wore only Chanel No. 5 for close to 10 years. I wouldn’t wear anything else, no matter what. I wasn’t even willing to try. Luckily for y’all, most women are less inflexible than Isabella!

If there’s something she particularly loves, you can go ahead and get her a bottle of that – and look forward to a nice long night of her saying thank you. If you want the gift to be a surprise, just casually check out her dresser top or bathroom countertop – but be sure she doesn’t catch you doing it.

Calvin Klein’s Obsession

You’ve smelled this, surely. It’s an extremely popular perfume in the US and elsewhere. Very sensual, very sexy, very lasting. I admit, I love the smell. I don’t personally wear it because my sister overindulged to the point I have flashbacks when I smell it – but that doesn’t change how lovely it is. In other words, anyone not related to my sister would likely love to receive this as a gift!

Lacoste’s Touch of Pink

This comes in a very cute pink bottle. That’s precisely what drew me to it, as I probably wouldn’t have tested it otherwise. While I’m a big fan of Lacoste’s cologne for men, their perfumes have never really done much for me. And while I don’t actually own this one, I wouldn’t at all mind receiving it as a gift. I wouldn’t use it every day, but I’d certainly use it a few times a month. It’s light, airy, crisp and girlie. If this sounds like your woman, go for it.

Dolce & Gabbana's Pour Femme

There are a number of D&G perfumes available – this is the one in the red velvet box with the red cap. I just started wearing this one recently, and let me just tell you it’s fantastic. It just has this characteristic that has me constantly sighing with pleasure. I love the way this stuff smells. It’s somewhere between clean / crisp and naughty / sensuous. It’s truly excellent stuff.

Coco Chanel

As you may have guessed, this is another product from Chanel. There are actually several

Chanel perfumes, some also named as numbers, but I’m not really fond of them. This is the only one I purchase with regularity. A light, clean, musky scent that still manages sophistication. Very sensual scent.

Chanel No. 5

This perfume is really a timeless classic. This is a very clean, sophisticated scent. It’s not particularly musky, nor is it sweet or fruity. I love this, it’s my favorite. I’ve been wearing it for 12 years and I have yet to grow tired of it. Coco Chanel named this No. 5 because that was her lucky number. I’m betting it was quite lucky for her fortune.
